City of 2140 : New York
Architectural Thesis Project
Inspired by Kim Stanley Robinson’s New York 2140, this project reimagines New York City as a resilient, adaptive urban ecosystem driven by data. Using parametric design and modular construction, buildings and infrastructure respond dynamically to real-time environmental, social, and economic factors. Floating structures, elevated walkways, and adaptive systems address rising sea levels while fostering community and sustainability. Data integration enables predictive modeling for resource management, disaster resilience, and urban growth. The project promotes a circular economy through sustainable materials and modularity. New York becomes a living organism, evolving alongside its inhabitants and their changing needs while tackling future challenges.
